The Huber Brothers Set Another Speed Record on the Nose

It is already the second speed record of Alex and Thomas Huber on the Nose of El Capitan in the Yosemite Valley. First they broke the speed record of the route on 4. October. The brothers were faster than Yuji Hirayama and Hans Florine, the previous speed record setting party, and climbed the route in 2:48,35.

However the brothers seemed not to be satisfied with breaking the speed record by a mere 20 seconds. They admitted that they had lost some time while climbing when Thomas dropped an aider. The Bavarians returned to the Nose with the second attempt 4 days later. This time they were a bit faster climbing the route in 2:45,45.  After breaking their own record both brothers decided to resign from more attempts as the risk was too high.
