Women are built differently to men and feel the cold sooner, so a sleeping bags tailoring and insulative properties are paramount. Mammut's designers have been paying particular attention to these two aspects. Mammut's bags for women are extra-warm and insulative thanks to the thicker layers of filling the foot zone boasts even more insulation. The innovative jacket baffle collar prevents heat dissipation even when the hood is left open or the shoulders exposed. Ajungilak's women-specific bags are narrower at the shoulders, wider at the hips, and even wider at the elbows for optimized freedom of movement. A new type of hood greatly improves the head's freedom of movement.
The seamless shell design avoids stitching the filling to the outer fabric as usual, thus preventing cold bridges and improving insulation. The Kompakt's newly designed ergonomic foot and offset foot angle maintain the feet in a natural position and also help the bag's insulative properties. Extra comfort is achieved through the use of particularly soft and agreeable materials. The Kira and Tosca women-specific synthetic bags have been designed by women for women as a response to demands for greater comfort and lightness.
