Salewa Discovery 28

Discovery 28 is the latest ski mountaineering backpack from the 2007 collection of Salewa. It is designed for demanding touring athletes and free riders. The innovative shape optimises weight distribution and ensures outstanding carrying comfort and previously unknown weight stability.  The padding of the carrying system is made from memory foam adapting itself to the fit of the individual shape of the person carrying the pack. Also, as for a 28-liter backpack, Discovery 28 is much lighter then average backpacks in this category, weighting only 833 g. Special ventilation windows in the hip fins and the anatomically formed shoulder straps increase carrying comfort. Strong, bonded seams and water resistant zippers guarantee the best possible protection in wet weather.

Other great advantage of the backpack is it’s functionality. Every loop and pocket has it’s own destination. There is an elastic front pocket made of Lycra to store (wet) skins, separate internal compartment for avalanche shovel and special pocket for portable probe. On both sides there are ski attachment loops reinforced with sturdy materials, attachment for two picks and touring pools. The adjustable chest harness is equipped with an emergency whistle. The Discovery is compatible with Transflow drink system.
