climbing
In climbing I do things that I enjoy and want to do not the ones that are currently in fashion.

Extreme Ultralight 28 backpack

Weighting just one kilogram, there’s no doubting this backpack’s radically light weight. It comes fully equipped for mountaineering duties – and it’s just as sturdy as any of Mammut’s other packs.
The Ultralight owes its one-kilogram weight to the materials the designers chose. The
combination of 3D mesh and a highly robust surface mesh make the shoulder harness and
hip belt wonderfully air-permeable. The hip belt and the inner frame can both be removed to
cut the weight even further – to just 780 g. The Extreme Butterfly frame guarantees perfect
load distribution and freedom of movement of the torso and hips (needed for Alpine touring).
This aluminum frame is inherently flexible and twistable, which helps distribute the forces
involved, and the Mammut Extreme surface treatment provides super abrasion resistance.
The Extreme Ultralight is a backpack for mountaineers for whom top performance and speed
and hence low weight – are all-important.
