Polish team climbs Subiendo el Arcoiris

On March 13, a Polish team of climbers Eliza Kubarska and David Kaszlikowski redpointed the route Subiendo el Arcoiris 5.13b in the Basaseachic National Park in Chihuahua state, Mexico. Two greatest waterfalls of South and Middle America, Piedra Volada (450m) and Basaseachic (250m) are situated nearby.
The 300m route offers ten mostly overhanging pitches with difficulties: 6c, 7a+,7c, 7a ,6c, 6b+, 8a ,6b ,7a ,6c+. In spite of being very popular, it has only been redpointed few times by now. The first free ascent was made by well-known German team of Stefan Glowacz, Kurt Albert and Holger Heuber. Germans described it as ‘a superb five star classic’.
