Hermann Erber, b. 1972, Austria

Erber started rock climbing at the age of twenty, then discovered other mountain sports such as mountaineering, ski touring, ice and mixed climbing. While combining climbing with travelling (the Alps, Norway, the USA, South Africa, Peru, Laos, Patagonia, Canada) he improved his photographic skills. In 2002 he quit his job in a mountain store and became a freelance outdoor photographer. His pictures can be found in magazines, calendars, ads and catalogues. He lives living with wife Iris and dog Zappo in Vitzing, close to Linz in Upper Austria.
