New Systems in C.A.M.P. Backpacks
For 2008 C.A.M.P. has completely revised its backpack line in terms of design, materials, construction and back systems. Abrasion resistance is increased, waist-belts and gear-loops are re-designed for greater stability, and each backpack is engineered to adapt better to the body’s shape.
C.A.M.P.’s 5 back systems are all equipped with double fast-adjust straps on the waist belt allowing optimum placement of the buckle between the hips while reducing the amount of excess webbing once tightened.
FAS BACK System: Convenient and easily adjusted system to fit short and tall frames with equal comfort. The shoulder straps slide along aluminium frame stays and are locked in place by thick webbing and a durable cinch buckle.
FAS PRO System: Technical version of the FAS system designed to follow the contours of the back even more precisely by allowing the cushioning systems to move with the shoulder straps.
DRY BACKLIGHT System: Designed to simultaneously optimize fit and ventilation. Two aluminium staves stiffen the structure to effectively distribute weight. Light mesh separates the bulk of the pack from the back to dramatically increase airflow. Shoulder straps are also lined with light mesh to create airflow where the pack touches the skin. To maximize adjustment and create the perfect fit, the Dry Back Light system features a comfortable hip-belt, load stabilizing straps and a chest strap.
EASY BACK System: Our most user-friendly adjustment system. It allows the user to adjust the pack’s length while the padding is simply and quickly positioned with Velcro.
AIRSHAFT System: The Airshaft system creates a gap between the user’s back and the pack by using a special mesh. This allows hot air to move from the hips to the top of the ‘chimney’ creating a constant, comforting breeze along the spine.
