ispo Performance Award 2007
Sympatex Technology’s Airflow with higH2Out laminate awarded in Munich
For Sympatex Technology the highly coveted ispo award is the second this year. An impressed jury of eleven chose the company’s Airflow laminate with added higH2Out feature as winner in the footwear category.
The company won its latest ispo award was for a prototype shoe, in which the innovative Airflow laminate was combined for the first time with the higH2Out finish quality. The laminate design unites existing higH2Out technology with the Airflow laminate launched at the last ispo Winter event. With its supreme breathability (120% higher than conventional laminates), the higH2Out lining ensures that moisture in the shoe is swiftly transported to the outside. Perspiration is soaked up by a hydrophilic (literally: water-loving) inner layer, and escapes through the membrane in a matter of seconds. A build-up of moisture is therefore impossible, eliminating cold feet as a result of perspiration.
In addition, a special spacer fabric in Sympatex Technology’s Airflow system ensures effective heat dissipation through improved ventilation. Each time the foot flexes, the spacer fabric is pressed together and warm air is pumped out both vertically and horizontally. The result is an optimum inner-shoe climate.
The combination of these two systems by Sympatex Technology is nothing less than a revolution in the shoe sector. With its ventilating effect, the Airflow system acts as an additional moisture-dissipating factor, for even faster transport of moisture through the laminate. Maximum breathability is thus combined with active heat dissipation. And it almost goes without saying that this exciting new laminate is 100% wind- and waterproof!
