Mammut Launches Backpacks for Women
Little details can make all the difference. One thing’s for sure: Women like to go mountaineering, climbing and hiking, and they are independent and self-assured. To do all that, they need a backpack that takes their body build into account – one that’s tailored to the female anatomy. And if it looks good too – why not? That’s the thinking behind Mammut’s five new backpack models designed specifically for women.
Refined design detailing takes into account the female anatomy, making the pack easier to carry: The back section is eight centimeters shorter, the conical hip belt design is tapered and shorter, and the shoulder straps are narrower and sculpted for optimum carrying comfort. There’s a pocket on the hip belt for small items – and the harmonious design and fresh colors should appeal to the female appreciation of beauty.

What the men’s model version of the successful Flight alpine backpack can do, so can the new Asana for women. Asana is the sister model to Flight but the details are specially tailored to suit women alpinists. The butterfly frame supports a woman’s harness and belt. The pack features stable tool attachments, compression straps and pockets on the belt and lid.
