KNITSHELL™ by Dale of Norway

Dale of Norway is launching the next generation softshell. The product has been named KNITSHELL™ and was launched for the European market at ISPO 2007. KNITSHELL™ is a 3-layer system with an outer layer of water repellent wool, WINDSTOPPER® lining- and soft flannel lining. “We think that this new concept will give us a great boost in the European sports market”, says Product Manager at Dale of Norway, Mr. Stig Furnes.

KNITSHELL™ is the result of the long-term partnership between Gore and Dale, and combines the unique qualities of the WINDSTOPPER® membrane and Dale’s competence and technology on water repellent yarns. The result is an outer layer that that has the windproof and water repellent benefits of a softshell, and the insulating benefits of 100% wool.

This is KNITSHELL™:

- Water repellent wool combined with WINDSTOPPER®.
- 3-layer system with flannel, WINDSTOPPER® membrane and water repellent wool on the outside.
- Developed for all kinds of outdoor activities like skiing, biking and hiking.
- Seven models (unisex anorak, ladies and men’s vests, jacket and jacket with hood)
