ISPO Outdoor Awards 2007
Every year during ispo fare in Munich the most innovative products are awarded with Outdoor Awards. This year except from the 3 traditional categories: Hardware, Apparel and Footwear the awards were also presented in the new categories: Adventure & Travel and Technology & Electronics. The jury was focused in particular on innovation, functionality, quality and technical solutions as well as on user friendliness, ease of use and design.
The winners for winter season 07/08 in the outdoor segment are: ABS Peter Aschauer, MSR, Marker, Lowa, and Haglöfs.
Technology & Electronics: ABS Peter Aschauer GmbH, ABS Vario Line
The new ABS Vario Line is a user-friendly evolution of a proven safety concept. By adapting a number of different bag units the ABS system can be used more effectively and provides increased protection in out-of-bounds terrain.
Adventure & Travel: MSR, Reactor Stove
MSR presents the perfect outdoor stove for demanding conditions. Thanks to consistent detail solutions and innovative improvements the MRS Reactor Stove guarantees top performance even under difficult conditions such as storms or low air pressure.
Hardware: Marker, Duke
Marker Duke is the first racing binding with unrestricted walk function. It is a winner thanks to its extreme stability, maximum power transmission, and protective features suitable for extreme conditions.
Footwear: Lowa, X-Alp Pro
Consistent detail work combined with function-oriented innovation made it possible for Lowa to optimize the performance of ski touring boots. The technical features benefit ascent as well as descent, and the boot's perfect finish and exciting design complete its attractive characteristics.
