Iker Pou on Begi Puntuam 9a

Few days ago Iker Pou made the second ascent of Begi Puntuan 9a, a new route in Etxauri, Navarra, a province in northern Spain. The Bask climber describes the route as "outstanding" and grades it as "light" 9a. The 20-meter, totally natural line starts with difficulties 8a/8a+, followed by three boulders graded by Ikar as 7C+, 7C/C+ and 7B.
Begi Puntuam was opened and equipped by an active climber from Navarra, Ekaitz Maiz and climbed for the first time by Patxi Usobiaga on the 30th of November last year.
